The Slaughter campaign’s latest press release claims that her second quarter filing will show that she’s raised more than $530K.  Based on the last filing, which covered the period through the beginning of June, this means that Slaughter raised over $250K in one month, which puts her on track to have raised over $1 million this cycle.  I’ve included the full press release after the break:

Rochester, NY – Today, Louise Slaughter’s campaign announced it had raised more than $530,000 in the second quarter of 2012. Slaughter’s FEC filing will be formally released on July 15, 2012.

Louise Slaughter received overwhelming support because of her effective work and tireless energy on jobs and the economy in the Rochester area.  In the second quarter, Slaughter received 3,532 grassroots contributions with an average individual contribution of less than $82. In the first quarter, Slaughter’s opponent filed 136 individual contributions with an average donation of $1,570.

Since announcing her run for Congress, Maggie Brooks has been saddled with an ongoing corruption investigation that includes questions regarding Brooks’ husband and the possible misuse of $224 million dollars in taxpayer money, and has been dogged by her unwillingness to address the issues,ineffective leadership, and her record of increasing County taxes, fees and debt.
